Skin Inject
What is skin-inject™?
skin-inject™ is a medically engineered device that incorporates the power of 192 surgical stainless steel needles to regenerate, rejuvenate and revitalize the skin. 4 specifically designed devices mean that results can be performed personally at home or under the guidance of a fully trained and qualified dermal therapist or cosmetic physician. skin-inject™ is manufactured in Europe and has been certified with the European conformity mark ensuring that design and manufacturing process reaches the strictest of international safety and health regulations. skin-inject™’s exclusive design is patent pending having met the highest of international standards.
History:
Skin needling is a new technology that has been derived from ancient acupuncture techniques combined with modern Mesotherapy practice and cosmetic / plastics medicine. Created and developed in the 1990’s by a team of European plastic surgeons, dermatologists and engineers, the concept of Skin Needling has a strong medical heritage that has instantly advanced the technology and use of needles for cosmetic and skin enhancement. Skin Needling is a non-invasive procedure that incorporates a process of a roller with microscopic needles between 0.15mm to 2.0mm long depending on which device is used. As the needles are rolled over the skin, tiny punctures are created within the epidermis and dermis that encourage the skin’s own natural response. There are no injections, incisions, stitches or implants made or inserted.
Science:
As the medical grade stainless steel needles penetrate, they create a natural skin reaction where tiny electrical signals are released. This creates a biological chain of events where essential minerals, proteins and new collagen and elastin fibres are discharged and regenerated. After a course of treatments, the skin is visibly revitalised, rejuvenated, replenished and regenerated.
Pain:
As skin-inject™ clinical treatments are performed at a microscopic level within the skin, there is minimum trauma and discomfort. A topically applied anaesthetic will minimise any discomfort when receiving a skin-inject™ Clinical Treatment. Whilst many patients report a tickling sensation, at most the feeling is arguably no worse than that of an IPL treatment. There is no pain or discomfort when using the skin-inject™ Homecare device at home.
Recovery:
The needle length and gauge of all skin-inject™ devices have been specifically engineered to ensure the shortest and most comfortable recovery time possible, whilst still ensuring maximum results and treatment longevity.
There is no downtime for the skin-inject™ 0.15mm homecare device, although it is recommended to be used in the evening prior to bed to ensure no redness or irritation in the morning.
Immediately following in-clinic treatments with the 0.75mm, 1.5mm and the 2.0mm skin-inject™ devices, the skin may appear reddened, similar to that of a mild to light sunburn. Whilst in some patients, the skin may remain red and slightly swollen for 1-2 days, there will be no scabbing or lesions present.
